As Founder of Pollack Architecture in 1985 (now Rapt Studio) in SF, LA & Delhi, Richard built a solid foundation for the practice over 28 years. In 2011 he finalized the sale of the firm to employees through an ESOP and created Pollack Consulting working with businesses to improve their revenue, profit, business development and sales, marketing, presentation training, management coaching and recruiting. Clients are taking advantage of Richard's experience in growing an award-winning professional services firm, his industry leading marketing and sales expertise, along with successful ownership transitions.
Richard is one of only a handful of professionals elevated to Fellowship in both AIA and IIDA. A sought-after speaker, he has made addresses to AIA (past National Chair of the Interiors Committee); IIDA (past international president); Design Futures Council; lecturer at CCA; and CoreNet Global.
Richard studied engineering at Rensselaer and earned a B.Arch degree from Pratt. Richard is a recent past board member of the Architectural Foundation of San Francisco, is a current Commission in the City of Sonoma and served on the Corporate Advisory Board of After School All Stars.
