"First released in 1996, BillQuick is an automated timekeeping, billing and project management software with a large user base among many professional services industries, including accounting, architectural, legal and consulting. It comes in four different editions, with each offering additional features: Lite, Basic, Pro and Enterprise. Depending on the edition, BillQuick runs on either a Microsoft Access database, Microsoft SQL Express or SQL Server. The single-user Lite version is free and is the number one time and billing software downloaded from CNET.com. BillQuick can be installed on a single-user system, a peer-to-peer network or on a network server environment."

"BillQuick offers a very nice customizable dashboard for at-a-glance firm/task management. Detailed analysis of productivity and realization can be produced very quickly, based on any criteria or filter desired. The system can be set to automatically generate either standard or custom reports on a schedule, and email them to the appropriate user. This can be a great way to build habits of timely and accurate time entry, management and billing."

"Here’s a powerful piece of office software that won't put you in the red. With the free BillQuick Lite, you can generate intermediate invoices, track money outflow, and assess total payments with ease. Though the interface looks busy, with a multitude of icons and options, the Outlook-style layout makes the app familiar even for first-time users. Role-based navigation streamlines the workflow and keeps confusion mostly at bay.
Overall, we found it quite intuitive, though the icons could be more explicit. The file size of the download is rather large, and the installation takes correspondingly long. But that's a minor quibble, more than offset by the zero-dollar price. From charting billable hours to managing multiple fee schedules, contractors won't be able to believe their luck with BillQuick Lite. "
