Simple
Time Card B/P/E – New in BillQuick 2008,
Simple Time Card is the simplest and fastest way to complete your Time Sheet: The
projects and activities that you worked on last week are pre-filled in this
week’s time card – saving time and reducing mistakes.
Also new in 2008, a
project can be selected by Name or ID – your choice! Just choose your
preference from the Field Chooser list.
Admin staff and managers will
love the faster entry and fewer headaches resulting from fewer mistakes. Simple
Time Card is Simple.
Vendor Bills
P/E –
Tracking vendor’s bills, especially if you pay them only after being paid by
your client, can be a hassle. Not in BillQuick 2008!
Whether from a PO or on-the-fly, you can create a Vendor Bill to track invoices
received for services and expenses (products). BillQuick’s new feature automatically
updates time and expenses entries from the bill.
Vendor Bills includes ‘Pay When Paid’ capabilities.
When you receive a payment for an invoice with a vendor bill passed through on
it, BillQuick alerts you so you can review which vendors to pay and how much.

You
also control the flow of vendor bills (expenses) with your accounting software.
You can sync then hold vendor bills for later payment. When you get paid, BillQuick
lets you know which vendor bills to pay.
Employee
Control
P/E – When you have many projects, choosing the right one anywhere in
BillQuick can take a few seconds. Choosing the wrong one can waste staff and
management time and result in write-offs down the line.
Now in BillQuick 2008 you can assign projects as well as activities
and expenses to an employee. Once assigned, the employee only sees these
projects (or items) throughout BillQuick! Of course, security permissions
let you be very specific about where control should be applied and where it
shouldn’t.
BillQuick intelligence is
working for you!
Prepaid
Services P/E – Many professionals deliver services on-demand in hourly increments –
for example, Help Desk services or consulting services. BillQuick 2008 greatly
expands the flexibility available to you with its new Trigger feature. When you
setup a project, you can now choose the trigger BillQuick should use when deciding
whether to charge a bill rate from the service fee schedule (e.g., discount
rate) or from the delayed service fee schedule. Trigger options include: Unused
Retainer, a Recurring Amount, Unbilled Hours or Unbilled Amount.
Reviewer E – New in 2008, on one screen you can view entries for employees,
vendors, projects, main projects, clients and more. Reviewer shows you both
time and expenses together, project- and company-wide. Also, you can filter the
list by status, ranges, periods and drill-down filters.
And in 2008 you also have Filter
by Selection. On Reviewer and other screens you can select an ID, name,
word or phrase and filter the list by that selection!

Memos
& Auto Complete
B/P/E – More control has been added to BillQuick’s robust
Memo feature. You can now keep a memo for ‘Internal Use Only’, copy it to the
journal for a project, and carry it to a detailed invoice. Also, Auto
Complete’s shorthand codes for memos can now be private or shared among all
users. Another innovation is the memo is now built into the screen. On the
Simple Time Card and Sheet View screen you simply press Ctrl+M to jump into and
out of the Memo area without having to use your mouse. Simple, fast and easy!
Finally, the control bar for spell-checking, fonts and so forth now floats
above the memo, coming alive only when you need it.
Purchase
Orders P/E – BillQuick 2008 adds purchase orders for companies that want to
submit, process and track purchases from a vendor. Lines items from a PO can be transferred to a vendor bill. New reports include Purchase Order List, Purchase
Orders by Vendor and Purchase Order Received Details. BillQuick’s new
capabilities streamline the manual process of filling out and keeping track of
purchase orders.
BillQuick 2008 also includes
a Received Item feature for easy recording and tracking of items received
against a PO. Once all items are received, BillQuick automatically closes the PO.
Manual
Invoice P/E
– Adding a much requested customer
feature, Manual Invoices in BillQuick 2008 can now be edited. Just select a
processed manual invoice from the invoice number list, then add another
activity or expense item, change an amount, or whatever you need. Then process
it again to replace the original.
But that’s not all.
BillQuick 2008 lets you create an invoice by selecting items (activity and
expense code) from a drop down list. Keep the description or change it. Enter
an amount and tax percent. It’s all so easy!
User
Interface Improvements B/P/E – Starting with Tabbed MDI, 2008’s user interface
improvements make interacting with BillQuick fast and intuitive. Switch between
windows by clicking a tab or scrolling through the tabs. Every tab has a name,
including previewed report, making it easy to manage windows.
Got dual monitors?
BillQuick 2008’s got you covered! Its new Non-MDI preference makes every window
independent. You can place Timer, Sheet View, Expense Log, Project, Preview
Reports and more on a second monitor or off to the side of a wide-screen
monitor. Just drag it to where you want it.
