eTools 2005
Many professional consultants spend most of their time out of the
office. Some work from home and quite often need to submit or
receive Time cards, Expenses, Project and Client information by mail
or fax. With BillQuick eTools, this remote data exchange is handled
automatically via email.
The off-site consultants record their time and expenses into a remote
PC. The eTools program will submit the time and expense records to the
main office whenever needed. Once received, the data is checked for
duplicates and for errant records and then automatically imported into
the main BillQuick database.
Now the time and expense records of your off-site consultants are
immediately available for generating invoices, for Work in Progress
reporting, etc.
From time to time the off-site consultants must update their remote
BillQuick database in order to record time and expense to the new
projects and activities. eTools handles this by submitting to them the
updated lists of Clients, Projects, Fee Schedules, etc. from the main
database. The selected records are extracted and emailed as a binary
file attachment to email addresses of your choice. The file name given
to this attachment is unique and generated automatically by eTools. The
file is sent immediately using your dialup network and TCP/IP protocol.
With a click of the mouse, the latest records automatically merge into
the remote BillQuick data file and your remote consultants are ready to
get to work on their new projects.
