Coming to a
PC near you in March 2008
BillQuick
2008!
A month closer to BillQuick 2008
and the excitement is rising! What
could be in the new software?
Well, here's a
sneak peek behind the curtain.
(Be sure to read everything.
There's a sneak peek video with
a BIG surprise.)
Employee
Control

Everyone knows
about BillQuick's Project
Control. It allows you to assign
employees, activity codes and
expenses to a project.
Coming soon,
BillQuick's new Employee Control
will flip that around. You will
have the choice to assign
projects, activity codes and
expense codes to an
employee. When you assign these
items to an employee, they are
the only items the
employees sees in drop-down and other lists.
If you assign,
for example,
Projects 123, 456 and XYZ to
Employee CJ, these are the only
projects CJ sees when entering
time and expenses. Also, when CJ
opens the Project screen, he
only sees these three projects
listed. Moreover, when he
accesses the Client screen, only
the clients associated with the
projects appears in the grid
list. This extends to Billing
Review and Invoice Review too.
Is your mind
reeling? This one feature
converts hours of non-billable
time into billable hours each
month. It increases the accuracy
of time and expense entry,
significantly reducing the
likelihood of charging hours or
expenses to the wrong projects
or charging the wrong activity
or expense.
Projects,
Phases, Segments and
Sub-Segments
For many
companies, Projects and Phases
are not sufficient to handle how
they manage and deliver
services. BillQuick 2008 adds
two more levels to the
Project-Phase hierarchy: Segment
and Sub-Segment.
A Segment or
Sub-Segment, like a Phase, is a full project
record. It is simply a sublevel
of the project, phase or segment
above it. You have the same
features as before, including
contract amount,
contract type, due dates,
percent complete and service fee
schedule. You can run a report
at any level.
Memo Dock

To save a little
more time and effort, the memo
pad is now integrated into all
four of BillQuick's time entry
functions. (Did
you catch it? There are FOUR
ways to record time in BillQuick
now.)
The integrate
memo pad is collapsible. Click
the
to open the memo pad, and click
to close it. On the Sheet View
screen, the cursor moves to the
memo pad when you press Ctrl-M. From any memo
pad, press Ctrl-M to move back into the time entry grid.
Simple
Time Card
Introducing . . .
Simple Time Card!
There is no
simpler way to record hours
worked on a project. Just
watch
the demo and see for yourself.
Reviewer
(Enterprise Only)

Answering the
need of BillQuick Customers to
view time and expense entries
for one or more clients,
projects, main projects,
employees, activity codes,
expense codes, invoices and
more, the new BillQuick Reviewer
screen provides exceptional
depth and breadth at your
fingertips. You can drill down
to just the few entries you want or
view entries company- or project-wide
if you wish.
From this screen,
you can view, approve, forward
to another person for review and
approval, and more.
Report
Security

New in 2008,
report security now includes the
ability to assign security
permission by report.
Rather than security
based on a menu, function or
other items, you simply set the
permission on/off for each
report for a user. This includes
any reports you create or
custom ones developed for you. When a user tries to
run a report, Report Security
determines whether they have
permission. |
