Web Suite - Smart Phone, File LinkingAnywhere you have Internet access, anytime you have a few free minutes, Web Suite provides you access to your company database. You might be in a client's office, waiting in an airport for your flight, or working on a project at home after hours. You may need to capture time or expenses, or update a project profile. Or perhaps you need a report or other information to help you make decisions about how much to bill a client or how to get a project under control before it becomes a runaway. Web Suite is BillQuick on the Web, providing virtually the same capabilities (there are a few differences). Using security permissions you can give as much or as little access to users as they need to do their job. Two of the most common uses of Web Suite is for time and expense entry and for project management. In 2009 BQE Software added features to enhance these areas further. Two of these new time- and effort-saving features are:
Now part of Web Suite, the Mobile capability requires a browser and an Internet connection. BQE Software has tested it on the iPhone (at right) as well as the Blackberry and Palm Treo devices. It is estimated that Mobile will work on 75% of the smart phone devices in use today. Which device you should use really depends on your preferences and communication providers in the areas where you travel.
And if you have security permission, you can check other users' entries too. Again, you can enter time anytime, anywhere. If you're not sure why capturing time (and expenses) away from the office is so important, click here. File Linking
Linking a file to a project or vendor bill can save hours every year. When a client calls or you're reviewing a project, you don't want to search down a person or a file that might in the right folder on your network. . .or it might not. Imagine what that's like from the client's point of view. The process of attaching a file is straightforward. Click the Link Files text . . .
Then in
the Link Files dialog, click New and choose your file. The file is uploaded
from your remote location and stored on the server for easy reference.
Now you can review linked files at any time. Click on the file name and the document, PDF, graphic or other file opens in its native application. If you're also interested in File Linking in BillQuick, check this out. |
