BillQuick Integration with QuickBooks Online
Enhanced
QuickBooks
Online limits the number of records that can be transferred (synchronized) at one time to
1,000.
With BillQuick, this
limitation becomes an issue primarily when synchronizing time entries. Not satisfied with
QuickBooks Online "rules of integration," BQE Software developed a new feature.
Now you can employ filters, and thus, transfer subsets of BillQuick data to QuickBooks
Online.
Thanks to the customers
who shared suggestions and needs and inspired this solution.
MSDE + BillQuick Pro and Enterprise?
MSDE,
or Microsoft SQL Desktop Engine, is one of several databases you can use with BillQuick
2005. MSDE is a newer, more sophisticated database engine than the standard Microsoft
Access database engine shipped with all versions of Windows. MSDE employs client-server
technology. In other words, MSDE is smarter. It controls and executes more work like
database lookups, queries, etc. on your network server.
Why should BillQuick Pro or BillQuick
Enterprise users consider MSDE?
Faster processing on a network.
MSDE can rebuild your firm database
using its data log. The database engine logs all additions, changes and deletions, thus
making it easier to recover if you lose your database for any reason.
Newer, more stable technology than the
Access database engine.
It's FREE!
Faster processing, you query?
Speed increases on a network result from
two smart features. First, MSDE executes queries and other tasks on the server, then sends
only the information you need to your desktop. The result is less data is pushed through
your network, and thus, data is available faster.
Second, MSDE "caches"
commonly used requests, such as a list of projects, invoices and so on. Thus, rather than
process the same request for multiple users over and over, MSDE grabs the information from
its cache and sends it to your desktop.
Want to Change to MSDE?
You need the BillQuick Pro Edition or
BillQuick Enterprise Edition.
Download
MSDE from Microsoft and install it. See the Microsoft web site for installation and
related information.
Convert your BillQuick firm database
(.mdb file) - From the File menu, choose Upsize to SQL Server.
Log into BillQuick, then click File,
Open Company, MSDE database. Select your new database.
May faster computing
be yours!
