BillQuick — On The
Road
BQE Software is
on the road with the 2005 edition of BillQuick and
its family of modules —actually, TWO ROADS!
Coming to a professional conference near you, BQE Software
starts its first road trip of 2005 in New Jersey at the 2005 Accounting,
Business and Technology Show, May 17 and 18. Part of the Microsoft exhibit
(Booth #506), we are taking part in Microsoft’s launch of its new Microsoft
Office with Small Business Accounting. Come by and see BillQuick 2005. Of
course, check out Microsoft Small Business Accounting while you’re there
too. And be sure to drop a card in the basket to be eligible for the free
software drawing.
The same week, May 19 to 21, BQE Software will be at the
annual American Institute of Architects convention in Las Vegas. And when you come by (Booth #3822), drop off your card for a chance to
win an IPod or a free copy of BillQuick. Viva, Las Vegas!
Don’t forget that BQE Software will offer Show Specials!
BillQuick helps thousands of professional firms across
North America and beyond optimize their operations.

BillQuick's eTools —
"You've Got Mail"
Want to bring BillQuick on the road or use it from a
satellite office, then synchronize with your firm database? And without
buying more BillQuick user licenses?
No problem.

BillQuick’s eTools module allows you to send
time and expense records via email — from your laptop or your satellite
office. With a few clicks of the mouse, the records
are checked and added to your firm database. When granted security
permission, you can also add clients, projects, activity codes and so forth
on your laptop or satellite office system, then email them to the home
office for synchronization with your BillQuick database. And eTools
allows you to receive master information via email — clients,
projects, activity codes, etc. — to update your remote database.
And you don’t need additional BillQuick user licenses.
Simply purchase the number of licenses you need for eTools, then begin
synchronizing via email. eTools user licenses cost less than BillQuick user
licenses, so there’s a nice savings waiting for you too.
BillQuick 2005 — QuickBooks
Integration Improvements
You asked for it, you got it!
Tapping new features in Intuit’s QuickBooks Software
Developer Kit, BillQuick now offers new integration capabilities. These
include:
-
Transfer of Actual Hours, Billing Hours or both from
BillQuick to QuickBooks. Actual Hours is the time you enter for a time
record. Billing Hours may be the same as Actual Hours, time adjusted by
the Smallest Time Interval function, time adjusted by Minimum Hours
defined for an activity code, or hours manually adjusted by the user.
One common use of these hours is payroll processing. While many firms
use Actual Hours for payrolls, some use Billing Hours. Both pieces of
information are valuable for special needs.
-
Debits and credits entered in QuickBooks now transfer to
BillQuick.
-
Expenses recorded via Expense Log in BillQuick now
transfer to QuickBooks as Bills.
-
Expenses recorded in QuickBooks as checks, bills, credit
card charges, etc. transfer to BillQuick as expenses. These records
should be associated with a Job to ensure they are linked to the
associated BillQuick Project, and thus, included in billing records.
-
Greater BillQuick invoice detail is now transferred to
QuickBooks. Data is summarized by activity and expense.
-
BillQuick Activity Codes can be associated with a default
QuickBooks Income Account, or one or more activity codes can be
associated with a specific income account. The same type of associations
can be setup for BillQuick Expense Codes and QuickBooks Expense
Accounts.
-
Select employee payroll items for each time entry type.
When BillQuick time data is transferred, it will be assigned to the
associated payroll item in QuickBooks. You can associate the time entry
type with Regular Time, Regular Non-Billable Time, Overtime, Overtime
Non-Billable, Vacation Time, Sick Time and Holiday Time.
