The is an example of an Invoice displaying a Stipulated Sum project in one of the available styles. Invoices can be previewed, printed, and finalized. The Default Word Color Invoice style is shown in this example.
Invoicing can be performed using two methods, either as a PDF document (two styles built-in), or as a Word document.
Generating Invoices using a Word template is very powerful. You can edit the templates provided (B&W and Color) by modifying the Word Formatting Styles for the document. You can add the customized Invoice template to the Invoices folder in the Document Preferences - Templates area and make it available for use in Project Invoicing.
Word Invoicing works for both Mac and Windows platforms. However, due to a Microsoft Word bug on the Mac platform, only one Invoice can be generated at a time with the Mac. On the Windows platform, Invoices can be batched and created in bulk from the Billing module.
Default Invoice format for all new Projects can be specified in Transaction Preferences - Billing.
Invoice Output format for the current Project can be specified in the Billing View - Options area. This allows you to control what the Invoice should look like for different Projects (for example you may be invoicing for a different division that requires a different logo or color scheme - Word invoicing only).
If
generating Invoices using the Word mail merge approach, be aware that
once the Invoice is rendered, the document can be modified using Word.
DO NOT change financial values on this Invoice, or they
will not correspond with ArchiOffice.
Use the Continue button on the left to move past the Preview.
Use the Rolodex on the left to page through the Invoice on screen.
A different style of Invoice can be selected by the Administrator in Preferences Default Set 2, and the Billing Method and Invoice Format settings in Project Billing Options also affect the appearance of the Invoice.
