Tracking Your Bookkeeping Engagement in BillQuick

Tracking Your Bookkeeping Engagement in BillQuick

In my previous two posts on Bookkeeping Engagements in BillQuick, I showed you how to get the engagement set up. Now you have what you need to track it. In short, now that the budget is set up along with the To do’s and allocations, we can start entering the ‘actual’ data.

Using the example of Jeff, my bookkeeping manager, he can now go in and enter his time. I can use this to pay him as well as track this against the actual to make sure we stay within the budget and remain profitable. I will also be able to enter my expenses to be sure we stay within budget for that part as well.

I’ve already done a number of posts on entering time and expenses in BillQuick, and it isn’t hard to do. In this segment, I want to show you what is looks like as you are entering data into BillQuick and how that renders in terms of the dashboard that BillQuick Provides. As I pointed out when I wrote, “Why Teaching is A Better Way of Selling than Selling is” it helps to see the software go from being a blank and clean slate to seeing how the lights come on so to say when you start adding in your own data.

When I see how the lights come on in terms of how the data that I enter makes that happen, it becomes much clearer to me that I can do this. I can make those bells and whistles go off and then I start getting ideas about how I can really use a product like BillQuick to manage and track my bookkeeping engagements and other business models of course.
