Do You Know About This
Feature?
When reviewing a billing
record for a project, one decision you may
make is whether to reduce the net bill
by applying a discount or part of a
retainer balance. While most users know they
can apply a dollar amount on the Billing
Review screen, you may not know that you can
also enter a percent in the Discount and
Retainer fields. In other words, you have
the option to decrease the net bill amount
by a dollar amount or by percentage.
The table below summarizes your options, the fields
involved, and the result for each option. Assume a Billable
Amount of $1,000, Retainer of $2,000, and a
Net Bill Amount of $1,000.

Role-Based BillQuick Training - What A
Start!
Only 8 weeks old after the
launch of our new Role-Based BillQuick
Training courses, user response has far
exceeded expectations. Surveys show
more than 92% found the concepts and
information in the new courses to be "Just
Right". More than 84% gave good marks to the
time available for questions. Comments to
trainers and to BQE Software staff continue
to be positive. One user in
California put her experience this way:
"We were led through it...The
trainer stepped us through exactly what we
needed to know to track time and expenses,
to manage and submit them. No peripheral
stuff, just core knowledge and how-to. I
told my boss to take the Billing Manager
class with me next. . . The training is a
guiding hand. We're not grabbing minutes
to learn about the best
features and the simple, subtle BillQuick
features that make automate tasks and make
managing projects simpler.
We want to focus on clients and guided
learning gets us there fast."

BillQuick Gets Another Great Review

"BQE has actively
developed its BillQuick time and billing
system, continually adding productivity
features, enhancing integration
capabilities, streamlining workflow and
increasing its capabilities. In the most
recent version, BillQuick 2005, the software
vendor has added a document management
system, project management features,
workflow automation, retainer tracking,
enhancements to the interface and even a
PayPal feature that allows clients who
receive invoices by e-mail to click on a
button within the e-mail and make a secure
payment online. Wow!
BQE’s innovation
and continued work on the system never fails
to impress, which is why it remains one of
the most outstanding time and billing
products on the market.
