BQE Software recently exhibited at two conferences for Architects — the Society for Design Administration’s’ EDSymposium10 and the 2010 Annual Convention of the American Institute of Architects.
We enjoy these trade shows because they give us an opportunity to directly interact with BillQuick and ArchiOffice customers. Equally important, we talk with professionals about what’s happening in their firms and in the industry. Both architects and engineers attend these conferences because sessions and exhibitors help improve how they manage their firms and to learn more about technology, tools and trends.
One message was loud and clear: Architects and Engineers see economic momentum building. The number of new jobs are picking up. Firms are hiring. And most important, principals and managers have confidence in the future.
While many architects and engineers talked about growth and the future, one architect typified the sentiments:
“I’m here to get my firm ready. I’m not spending big time. That’s over. I want to improve my business and the management and professional technology that supports my work. That’s why I’m investing in coming to this conference.”
