What's new in Pursuit

  • Your whole pipeline at a glance. See every opportunity by stage and move it forward as it progresses.
  • Every opportunity in one place. Status, notes, to-dos, and what’s been spent so far sit together, so anyone can see where a pursuit stands.
  • The cost of chasing work, tracked. Log the time and expenses your team puts into each pursuit, whether you win it or not.
  • Proposals from your own templates. Keep using your Word templates, and let CORE fill in the client and project details for you.
  • Won work that’s ready to start. Turn a win into a project without re-entering anything.
  • A forecast you can plan around. See what’s likely to close so you can plan staffing and cash flow ahead of time.

Questions Pursuit helps you answer

  • Which pursuits are worth chasing? Check past win rates by market sector, service line, and office before you commit a team to the next go/no-go decision.
  • What did it take to win that project? See the hours and expenses logged against a pursuit alongside the project it became.
  • What needs attention this week? Every opportunity carries an owner, a next step, and a target date, so nothing sits in "in progress" with nobody moving it.
  • What work is coming, and when? Weighted pipeline value by stage gives you a forecast to plan staffing and cash flow around.

What is CORE Pursuit?

CORE Pursuit is BQE CORE's built-in CRM and pursuit management tool. It brings your pipeline, proposals, pursuit costs, and forecasting into the same system you use to run projects, track time, and bill clients.

I already use CORE CRM. What changes for me?

CORE Pursuit is BQE CORE's built-in CRM and pursuit management tool. It brings your pipeline, proposals, pursuit costs, and forecasting into the same system you use to run projects, track time, and bill clients.

How does Pursuit track what a pursuit costs?

Your team logs time and expenses against an opportunity through a Pursuit Project, the same way they log time to any other project. If you win, those costs carry into the new project. If you don't, they go to overhead, so you still have a record of what the pursuit took.

Can we keep our own proposal templates?

Yes. Build your templates in Microsoft Word and use the CORE add-in to insert Smart Fields. When you upload a template, Pursuit fills in the client, opportunity, and quote details, and the finished proposal stays with the opportunity.

What happens when we win an opportunity?

You convert it into a CORE project directly from the opportunity. The winning proposal carries forward, so your team doesn't have to re-enter anything to get started.

We already use another CRM. Can Pursuit work with it?

Pursuit covers what most A&E firms need from a CRM. For firms that rely on more advanced sales tools, CORE's open architecture connects with third-party systems. Book a personalized demo to talk through your setup (link that phrase to /demo-request?utm_channel=pursuit).

How does the calculator get its numbers?

It multiplies the pursuits you didn't win by your team size, hours per person, and blended hourly cost. The win rate figure multiplies five extra percentage points of your yearly pursuits by your average project value. It counts labor only, so direct costs like proposal production and travel, and any design work done to win a job, aren't included. AIA's 2024 Firm Survey found 36% of firms gave away design services to win an opportunity.
